First one for MN
February 3, 2012
Just got word that my black & white landscapes has been accepted into the Flow Art Space Gallery in Minneapolis, MN. The show is called ”Flow Art-A-Whirl Show”. I am very pleased, and it means that I have to get into the darkroom very soon. Something I am equally exited about. There is just too much photoshop in this digital world, and I miss the “wonderful” smell of chemicals.

An MFA Project revisited
January 25, 2012

Looking for Godot: Finding Jesus in the Social Landscape
I have been revisiting and refining my MFA thesis that I did at the Visual Studies Workshop in 2009 and made it into a photo book. (Not sure why the front page image is off-center). Anyway, I think I am finally done with these pictures. America’s mix of religion and commercialism continues to be a endless source of amusement/fascination for a European like me

Looking into this little device

Fuji-film X10
Wondering whether I should invest in this camera. I have been looking for a smaller, but high quality, digital camera for some time. Anyway, this camera would be my substitute for a digital Leica which is most definitely out of my prize-range

Polaroid Landscape Scan
Been a little while since I took my Fujifilm Instax 210 out for some photographing, so this is a landscape I did a while go. Starting to get to know film. Cold weather is not exactly ideal for this kind of film however

Inspirations: Lars Tunbjörk
January 15, 2012

Lars Tunbjork; Country Beside Itself
One of my absolute favorite photographers, Lars Tunbjörk. His photo-book “Country beside itself” (Landet utom sig) has been a huge inspiration, and I wish there was available copies out there for a reasonable price. His photographs are just so wonderfully strange !
Check out examples of his work here : Lars Tunbjörk

Driving along Highway 10
January 15, 2012

From the project Highway 1o
American highways are an endless source of inspiration, and I am very curious how this project will turn out. First look at new images are almost always a disappointment. Over time, however, some photographs slowly becomes interesting, and it is often the ones you passed over in favor of others. Its a strange experience !

After two years of photographing only inside and outside of my house, I think I can call this photo book project done. Quite pleased with how it turned out. You can check the book out at Blurb by following this link : My Blurb Bookstore

Well, this could be fun !
December 12, 2011

Took my new Fujifilm/ Polaroid camera out for a little “test shoot” today.A rather cold and overcast day. The scan of the image is not great, (and a tad crooked ) , but I like the muted colors this film has, and I am really looking forward to do some serious work with this camera.

Fujifilm's Instax 210
Fujifilm released this instant film camera on the market not too long ago. I have never been that into polaroids, but once I saw this camera, I decided to give it a try. Looking forward to see what comes out of it in the coming weeks..yay..exciting !
